Block M Dinner

For anyone that happens to check out the Nordic Team Blog at any point soon, this post might seem a liiiiitle similar to my last one there. What are you going to do? It's exam week. Procrastination is one of the greatest things ever, but you can really only do so much of it before you're entering into the territory that actually negatively impacts your grade. I'm not about that. Figured doubling posts wouldn't hurt anyone too much.

So, last Thursday was the last official ski team event of the year. We went to the Block M Dinner, which is the awards celebration for every varsity team on campus. My friends from the club rugby team always joke about crashing it, but it hasn't happened yet...Anyway, at Block M we eat dinner (not classic Alliot, which is a nice change of pace...) and then see picture slide shows of the seasons, various awards, and senior gifts.

It was the last time all seven of us (plus coaches) will be together. Next fall it'll be much more different as Larissa's going abroad for the fall semester, Kat is going abroad for the whole year. It's terribly sad, but Kat will be around for a while during the winter and is even hoping to make a few carnivals. Silke and I are the only two left at SMC who are not running cross country.

Side note: just realized this is the first time I've mentioned not running...I've decided since it's my last year skiing and I've put so much time into it over the years that I'd take the fall and dedicate it to skiing alone with the high hopes that the extra ski training will improve my very last season.

Anyway, it was a fabulous event overall. Sadly, that is all for Big Purple during the 2010/2011 school year.
Pre-dinner ski team love.
Foooooood
Just clarifying...
The team.
